As I write this, it’s christmas day 2009, my first in Berlin, also a chance to squeeze out a last post before 2010. I never expected moving here to be as time consuming as it has turned out to be. No stress thankfully but pressure on myself to make the effort worthwhile. Pleased to report productivity levels are operating at a decent momentum and in recent months have turned my hand at some nice challenges. This might be because Berlin is probably the coldest place ever invented in all history hitting a mighty -13 a few days ago and outside is no place to venture in those conditions.
Much to look forward to in 2010. Will be leaving for Brazil to film the South American leg of the Most Interesting Person before heading over to North America and Asia.
I have been experimenting with stills animation and feel there’s some mileage in displaying photographs as movies with using burst modes as high as 8 f/s.
Also been back and forth back to London for shoots for Empire Magazine and Venice Magazine. Also had lots of fun with Berlin fashion designer Ann Cut and enjoying seeing all the possibilities that exist here from a photographic point of view.
